West Hollywood

West Hollywood is located between Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and is home to many of L.A.’s young professionals. West Hollywood has three major and very different shopping districts; the Sunset Strip and Sunset Plaza is the heart and soul of Los Angeles’ world famous night life and contains many fine boutiques and exclusive restaurants and hotels; Melrose Avenue is one of the hippest shopping streets anywhere in the world; and the Beverly Center is a gargantuan interior mall with every major retailer imaginable.

West Hollywood is also home to the Pacific Design Center, also known as the Blue Whale, a gigantic blue glass building which is the center of the wholesale interior design industry on the West Coast. Other features of this exciting little big city are its abundance of art galleries, restaurants, shops and live theaters. Housing in West Hollywood consists mainly of multi-family condominiums and apartment buildings, mixed in with a number of smaller, yet impeccably appointed homes. Like Santa Monica, WeHo has excessively prohibitive rent control laws.
